Pothole Westbound on right tyre track, just before layby.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4314422.

Used to be a small pothole but due to weather had opened up and is quite severe now. If a motorcycle hit it could result in them coming off. And as a car I have to avoid it by swerving or I won I’ll cause damage, especially as it’s a fast section of the road

I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team for further prompt investigation. Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect.
