Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 16:11, Tue 14 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4312986.

Two redundant sign poles need removing from the central grass verge in the centre of road One pile is bent over horizontally onto the grass and the other pole has no sign on and has been like that for years

Updates

  • These poles are not redundant. They carried Claymills Victorian Pumping Station signs and were damaged and reported over two years ago. These days you obviously can’t rush things.

  • As mentioned before, these signs are positioned on the A5121 which crosses the A38 so are the responsibility of Staffordshire County Council. The damage was reported by The Claymills Pumping Station and a report number was issued by Staffs. C. C. over two years ago but no measures have been taken to repair the signs. We would be grateful, therefore, is some else would raise this matter with Staffs C. C.

  • Multiple potholes to left, centre and right on carriageway entering A38 North from A5121 out of Burton on Trent causing extreme difficulties in navigating and also causing wheel damage to car.
