Lack of secure fencing

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4295438.

I am shocked to see the lack of safe fencing from the back of Melbury onto the A1. Wildlife and pets are being killed as running onto A1. Acar accident the other week. What is it going to take for you to listen.

    We understand your concerns regarding the fencing at this location.

    We're in the process of investigating who is responsible for the boundary fence along the A1 in this area. We've contacted both Newcastle City Council and Newcastle Great Park.

    Newcastle Great Park have advised whilst the fence is not their responsibility, they'll be carrying out repair work to the damaged fencing to make it safe for the public and wildlife.
