Incorrectly pahsed lights causing big tailbacks
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 14:22, Sun 5 March 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4283808.
The pedestrian lights here have been replaced with temporary ones (not sure why - they were upgraded recently after many months of work and disruption). These temporary lights stay at red for much longer than they need to, and much longer than the existing ones. This is causing large tailbacks both ways. It will be a big problem on an already gridlocked road during rush hour. Please get them phased properly.
Updates
-
06/03/23 - The temp traffic lights are still causing unnecessary traffic jams and congestion in both directions, which benefits no one.
