Unsightly litter

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4280813.

Loads of litter on the slip road and motorway towards Portsmouth. Looks disgusting.

  • Thank you for your report concerning litter at Junction 11 of the M27.

    We appreciate your concern and appreciate the effect litter can have on the environment. We work closely with organisations such as Keep Britain Tidy to keep litter levels on our roads as low as we can.

    We've arranged for an inspector to attend the junction and plan litter collection in the area as needed.

    Litter is a constant focus for our road teams, and we handle a large number of litter pick operations on rotation at any one time. The M27 is a focus area for litter picks at the moment, with a large number of planned clearance operations focused on specific sections of these roads. Because of this, we’re unable to provide a specific timeline for these operations.
