Pavement at corner Hooton Green/A41

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 09:15, Wed 1 March 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4272826.

This junction is due to be remodelled and lots of exploratory investigations of underground services have been carried out. One of these has left a vertical sided excavation down to a service cover approximately 125/150 mm deep in the pavement. I reported this to Cheshire West & Cheshire and they have emailed me this morning - “this junction is maintained by NH please contact them”. I first noticed this a couple of weeks ago and it was still there yesterday.
