Yellow junction box very faded

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 16:11, Tue 28 February 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4271333.

Yellow junction box very faded Hi, The yellow junction box outside our workplace on Eastfield Road, South Killingholme, DN40 3DQ is very faded so vehicles pull onto it to line up for the traffic lights on the corner, normally large trucks and lorries. This makes it very dangerous if vehicles are trying to turn right into work but they are unable to as the entrance is blocked and they are quite close to the corner and the entrance to the Jet fuel station. They are at risk someone going into the back of them. My previous report was closed and i was asked to contact my local council. I contacted them first and they advised me to contact yourselves. I do not appreciate being told to go from person to another. We are being put into dangerous situations as we cannot turn into our place of work and risk a serious accident. Does something like this need to happen before anything is done!

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding a faded yellow junction box in this location.

I can confirm this isn't the responsibility of National Highways, and does belong to the Local Authority. Our boundary plans show we don’t go past the crossroad junction, we stop at the central island.

Contact details for local authorities can be found by using the search facility at: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-council.

    Kind regards,

    National Highways

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
