Traffic in A6129 lane veering right into two A414 lanes

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 12:37, Wed 22 February 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4254760.

There should be a raised chicane to prevent traffic in the A6129 lane cutting across traffic in the two A414 lanes. I've lost count of the near-misses I've had here - the latest was yesterday. It's not helped by the faulty traffic light (which I have just reported to Hertfordshire Highways). Better signage at the junction approach might help if there's nothing else that can be done.
