A12 northbound Pothole just before marks tey bridge

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 21:36, Fri 17 February 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4242556.

A12 Northbound, in the 50mph roadwork average speed camera zone, inside lane just before the overhead bridge at marks try is a pothole. I didn’t see it and hit it causing my tyre to go flat, I could feel the car pulling to the right and when I turned down the radio could hear the tyre rumbling. Because of the roadworks there was no where to pull over, so had to drive till past the stanway junction (because I was on the inside lane, and noticed it was flat after committing to that lane) on a flat for somewhere to pull over. This has caused damage to my tyre and possibly the wheel, I will be getting it check out by a tyre shop first thing tomorrow morning. I am a mechanic myself so am prepared to deal with this situation where as most people aren’t. I don’t know when this pot hole appeared. I have this incident on dash cam and will be making a claim for the damages.
