A12, junction 25 large pot hole that has caused extensive damage to my vehicle

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 17:25, Fri 17 February 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4242130.

On the 16th February 2023 at arrow 13.45, I was travelling north bound on the A12 and just passed the jct 25 exit. This area is currently in road works with a 50 mph speed limit. I was travelling approx 45 mph. As I was driving the Road surface disintegrated under my front tyre which meant my back tyre went down the pot hole which has caused extensive damage to vehicle. it took 1 hour 40 minutes for highways England breakdown recovery to arrive to the scene, during which time my own breakdown recovery vehicle had arrived. Today the pot hole is still there with a lump of concrete about the size of a water melon and is causing an obstruction on the road. My car is currently in garage, with an estimated repair cost exceeding financial viability to fix.
