Accumulating mounds of soil along the central reserve concrete barrier eastbound A453, to east of power station, near Thrumpton

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category by Mark Bailey at 10:19, Fri 17 February 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4240476.

Due to an apparent lack of maintenance, mounds of earth are accumulating against the central reserve continuous concrete barrier to A453 eastbound at regular discrete points over a long stretch of the A453 near Thrumpton. If the wheels of any vehicle was forced or erred towards the central reserve barrier, these large mounds would probably cause vehicles to flip in the air or on their roof, if travelling anywhere near the 70mph speed limit. This is an extremely dangerous potential situation that has obviously been building up for some time without the required maintenance cleaning alongside the continuous concrete barrier
