Updates

  • Thank you for informing our Customer Contact Centre about litter on the A1(M) at Stevenage . I appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention. We share your concerns that litter on our roads is unsightly as well as a risk to wildlife and the environment. It’s a huge challenge to keep roads free of litter and debris. If people didn’t drop litter in the first place it wouldn’t need to be picked up. We carry out regular inspections of our motorways and schedule litter-picking activities for any areas requiring attention. Your concerns have been passed to our maintenance team. They will inspect the area and if it falls below the required standard, arrange for the litter to be cleared. Thank you again for contacting us. If you need any further information about this, please feel free to contact me. For anything else please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or info@nationalhighways.co.uk, or visit our website at www.nationalhighways.co.uk.
