Updates

  • Please be assured that litter is a serious issue, and we share your concern about the amount of rubbish that is discarded on our roads.

We carry out regular litter inspections along the A2 west from Dartford to the M2, with our most recent inspection on 26 January. Following our inspector’s recommendations, we’ve instructed our maintenance partners to arrange litter picks, starting on the eastbound carriageway including the slips at Wrotham Road. In addition to litter picking, they will undertake grass cutting and gully clearance.

We’ve instructed the works to be carried out within 28 days, subject to suitable traffic management approval, to provide a safe working environment for the crews. Once the eastbound verges and slips have been picked, we will turn our attention westbound.
