A40 Eastbound parallel to Old Ross Road

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 16:35, Wed 15 February 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4235582.

Along side the A40 and the Old Ross Road at Whitchurch there is a wooden fence between the two roads, there are complete sections of fencing that has been damaged and in some cases completely missing. I think this is dangerous especially at night when driving into the village you are facing oncoming traffic with headlights visible through the missing fencing. Can the panels be replaced please?

  • Whole fence panels are missing meaning there is no protection beteeen 'Old Ross Road' and the main A40. There are a number of families with young children living on Old Ross Road so this presents a real risk as there is now direct access to the main road.
