Awful damage across both lanes. No speed warning signage indicating issue.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4233316.

The road surface has completely come away and you approach it at 70, both lanes are absolutely shot and there's not so much as a speed sign to warn drivers. Absolutely terrible and clearly has been reported multiple times, accident waiting to happen - especially at night.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about the road surface on the A12.

    We're aware of this area and have repaired potholes there last week. We're also looking into having this section resurfaced.

    When approaching/exiting a slip road, road users should be decreasing speed, and there is a prior warning of a fixed 'uneven road' sign attached to a lamp column on the right verge.
