Signs not collected

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 15:46, Mon 13 February 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4229040.

I reported this last week- Road works between the A28 /A2 junction and A2 Bridge turn off have now been collected but 50 mph signs and others are still in place and need removing. I got this response - Thank you for your report concerning the 50mph signs currently installed on the A2. We’re aware of these warning signs, which are still required to advise drivers of the carriageway defects in this area. We're planning to return to complete our resurfacing works here that had to be postponed due to inclement weather. Once our works are completed the signs will be removed. To my knowledge the second set of repairs have been completed, if not when are they due to take place?

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning signage on the A2.

Our inspector has reviewed this. Currently this isn’t causing any safety concerns, the contractors have been requested to collect the signage that is no longer in use.
