Pattern of lights has changed and is causing traffic to build up

The pattern of the lights has changed recently. The new pattern is causing traffic to back up on the roundabout as the lights ahead haven’t cleared before new traffic is added. Cars are changing lanes to avoid this, have witnessed 2 near misses in the last fortnight.
