Huge Pothole crossing lane 2 and 3, just after junction 3 on M2 by Bluebell Hill

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4209581.

We have hit this huge pothole twice which crosses both lanes 2 and 3 just after junction 3 on M2. Although we cannot prove it was the cause, we developed a flat tyre the following day after the first occasion. The Pothole has been there in its dangerous state at least 2 weeks.

  • Thank you for your report concerning pothole over lanes 2 & 3 just after junction 3 on the M2.

    Our inspectors haven been unable to locate any potholes at the location pined on the Report a Problem site.

    We are however aware of a road surface defect on the eastbound carriageway prior to junction 3. This requires a full patching repair and we're currently seeking traffic management approval so the repairs can be carried out under safe carriageway closures.
