A huge Pothole, heading northbound in lefthand land of roadworks

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4200406.

The pothole is in the roadworks, so the lane is very narrow and its hard to avoid this very deep pothole. It punctured my Tyre. While I was changing my tyre another vehicle tyre was punctured from the same pothole. I Imagine many more vehicles will also have the same issue.

I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team for further prompt investigation. Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We also carry out frequent safety inspections where potholes and other defects are recorded. We then carry out repairs prioritising the most serious. Kind regards National Highways
