Large potholes on lane 2 A20 kent-bound

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 09:48, Mon 30 January 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4184065.

Massive pothole on lane 2 of the A20 in the kent-bound direction. We hit it in the dark on Sunday morning and it has ripped open the front nearside tyre causing an immediate tyre deflation. Needs fixing ASAP

Updates

  • Large ash tree branch hanging over fence and looks very close to large lorry's when they pass. This is going south bound before the crockenhill rd and foot bridge. The tree is at the end of town house garden

  • Not yet fixed. Very unexpected this as i hit the huge pothole in the dark, due to no street lights. Unacceptable.

  • Exactly the same thing happened to me this evening 17th March 2024 huge pothole shook the car must be very deep. Has ruptured side wall of my can and possibly done damage to the rims. How has this been left here. This could kill a motorcyclist.

  • Apologies for the bad spelling above. It is meant to read - ruptured the side wall of my cars driver side front tyre and possibly caused damage to the rim. I will be seeking compensation, this is dangerous and completely unacceptable.
