Boundary fence collapsed. South bound carriageway adjacent to the railway bridge DOL1/13.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4171801.

A member of public has reported this collapsed section of boundary fencing to Network Rail Control on 26/01/2023. Th gap give direct access onto the East Coast Main Line railway- possible trespass. Fault No. 896992. The Network Rail Mobile Operations Manager has attended site and attempted a temporary repair i.e. tape. Can you please arrange to have the fence re-instated ASAP to prevent trespass / potentially and suicide on to the railway.

  • Thank you for your report concerning the fencing at this location.

    We sent a contractor to site and this fence isn’t one of ours so unfortunately we can’t do anything with regards to repair. This is an issue for Network Rail to look into.
