Is TFL responsible for installing traffic cameras on the A4 in London?

If so, there is an urgent need for a red light camera on a light controlled pedestrian crossing. This is on the eastbound carriageway east of the junction with Windmill Road in Brentford. The map reference is TQ[phone removed]. Virtually every time this light goes red several vehicles go through at speed. This is a crossing regularly used by school children and yesterday, I again witnessed another near miss. It is only a matter of time before someone is killed.

Updates

  • So many accidents at this crossing. There is a lot of traffic turning right because there is no right turn on the Boston Manor road. This with traffic turning left is makes this junction so dangerous. This is a small junction traffic goes straight from Brentford to Ealing and vice verse. Traffic is also turning right both ways. Cars speed through as not to get caught by the red lights. this includes the buses. So dangerous! my father in his 70s nearly got run over as he cant see properly if I had not been there with him and held him back he would have been killed. There is a 20 speed limit but no one takes notice. there is too much traffic here and this road should be closed just like Ealing council closed the Swyncombe Avenue and other roads due to much traffic. There are children and pensioners who live is this area. Something has to be done to reduce the traffic.
