Footpath below A31, A338 Ringwood/Salisbury Roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category by Dennis Goodwin at 14:46, Fri 20 January 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4153640.

The Gravel Lane Pedestrian subway has been flooded. So i attempted to use the alternative footpath to the Ringwood town centre via the roundabout. The footpath is unusable.

Since the A31 Ringwood bridge replacement and road widening scheme the alternative footpath to Ringwood town centre via the roundabout has been decommissioned.

Can explain why this alternative footpath to the Ringwood town centre has been removed? What alternative route has been provided for pedestrians?
