ATS Induction Loops ineffective
Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 23:40, Wed 18 January 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4147222.
It appears that the induction loops at the top of the L slip road M3 Junction 5 (Hook) are ineffective at triggering the ATS into the roundabout. Even at night when the road is dead, the presence of vehicles over the induction loops does not trigger the ATS to change and you often find yourself detained at RED for no reason for quite some time. Any chance of checking the induction loop system on this slip road

Junction 6 roundabout induction loops seem to be ineffective. Still sit for ages at night having exited from Southbound M3 waiting at the bottom of the slip from Northbound exit, where ATS are green but no traffic, yet traffic having to wait with me from my direction
