Large Deep Pothole

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4142872.

Between junction 24 and junction 23 on the A12 B track lane 1 after the offside bend but before the lay by with the food truck there is a large pothole approximately 1 foot wide by 1 foot wide and very deep. It is in the asphalt section of the concrete road. This is highly likely to cause significant damage to a vehicle.

  • Thank you for informing our Customer Contact Centre about the pothole on the A12 at Kelvedon. I appreciate you taking the time to report this. I’ve passed your observations to our maintenance team for further investigation. Potholes can be hazardous and we have processes in place to ensure they are made safe quickly. We also carry out frequent safety inspections where potholes and other defects are recorded. We then carry out repairs prioritising the most serious. Kind regards National Highways
