Pelican crossing lights automatically changing every 20 seconds

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4142005.

I reported this by telephone last night (Monday 16th Jan 2023) After a 2 car collision the pelican traffic lights are changing every 20 seconds. I've just been past again and they still haven't been fixed. This is a very busy trunk road and will cause long tailbacks if not attended too.

  • Thank you for your report concerning the lights on the A628 in Tintwistle.

    We will be sending an engineer to site as soon as possible to assess the fault and arrange for repair.
