Safety

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 16:15, Fri 13 January 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4125179.

Details: Slip road from A19 south at Howdon Interchange Tynemouth Road. I have Just witnessed a second minor accident at the junction of the slip road and roundabout. The part time traffic lights were switched off Visibility is very bad when approaching the roundabout due to the extreme angle. There is not a problem when the part time traffic lights are switched on. Could the traffic lights be left on permanently to aid safety.
