New and old lane markings both visible and confusing vehicles on M56 on approach and near J12.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4121350.

Travelling towards Westerly direction from East. The lane markings have been repainted and realigned, but the old markings are still visible. Earlier today when there was dazzling low sun at sunset, a lorry in front of me nearly drove into other traffic as it was following the old lane which cut across the new lane. I had already moved to the outer lane as I noticed that the lines were confusing other road users. The old lane markings need to be removed or covered over. There is bound to be a serious accident here if no action taken.
