Extremely noisy manhole/drainage cover being consistently hit by cars and lorries on northbound A38 adjacent to Rykneld Street Alrewas on the brow of the bend.

I live in Rykneld Street and the noise levels from the damaged manhole cover are quite disturbing and becoming worse by the day. There may also be the danger of a collapsed drain if not investigated and repaired soon.

  • The manhole is becoming increasingly noisier and noisier. Thousands of HGV vehicles are hitting it, both night and day. I've now spoken to several of my neighbours who are all thoroughly fed up of the eternal racket! I myself will be petitioning for repairs and seeking recompense if this matter is not sorted urgently!
