Flooding across all lanes westbound before junction 22

Complete flooding, very dangerous, just gone through it and nearly got spun in the car by it (aqua plane)

  • Opinion from a regular M62 driver, this poor drainage flooding was a contributing factor to the fatality on 21st December ( W.Yorks Police Case ref 143 ).

    It frequently causes panic breaking conditions and its not unreasonable to state 'its an accident waiting to happen'.

  • I agree with the comment above, I’m also a regular M62 driver, this is a real issue and wouldn’t be surprised if it was found to be a contributing factor in the crash, this needs fixing asap before it causes another crash.
