Fence repair failing and damaging private property, Junction 10 / 40 North Hill

Fence was temporarily repaired c.18 months ago by your team following heavy winds that bought down a number of panels. The fence is at the top of a slope and temporary buttresses were put in place to stop the panels falling down. The repair has failed and the fence is now pulling away down the slope pulling several private fences down with it. Highways fence needs to be repaired properly, and private fences restored.

  • Thank you for your report concerning a damaged fence on the M27.

    Our inspector has arranged a site visit to assess the damage to the area and the fixes necessary to ensure the safety of our roads and adjacent properties. We will then arrange those repairs as required.
