Faulty variable speed cameras

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 15:18, Mon 19 December 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4044423.

The variable speed cameras jump from 60 to 40 with no time for people to slow down to 40 before passing under the cameras. The cameras are flashing people continuously because there isn't enough time to slow down at a safe speed. This is happening just before junction 11 heading towards Warrington. Saw the camera flash around 9 times for different people. Very dangerous as people are hitting the breaks really hard.

Updates

  • Large pothole on the left side of the outside lane. Violent enough to switch my windscreen wipers on and knock my steering wheel out of straight.
