No road signs to say no through road to A14

Reported via mobile in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 09:59, Thu 15 December 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4036299.

Where I work, there is a main road just outside. It’s quite hard to explain but, there is a slip road where you come off to access haughly, wetherden and Elmswell and I know that the A14 is having closures somewhere near here. When the a14 is closed, people I.e lorries, cars, vans etc, come down the opposite way towards the slip road and go down the slip road but you cannot see the “no entry signs” until your half way down the slop road. Especially when there is large articulated lorries down there it’s very dangerous and will cause a serious accident one day. The lorry’s then have to reverse or somehow turn around, and last night when I was working there was lots of cars and lorries come down that way and about 4 lorries all at once try to get down there and turn around. I think there needs to be a sign before hand to say you can’t access down there?! I’m no road sign expert but it is very dangerous, and some signs need to be put in before hand to say you can’t access A14.
