Confusing road markings

Reported via mobile in the Road markings (NH) category by Victoria Ashraff at 17:43, Tue 13 December 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4033099.

There has been a diversion and temporary white lines painted, then covered with black tar when diversion finished. In the rain the black coating shone and it was difficult to see which were current white lines and which were not. The car in front of me also struggled to decide which were the Lane markings we needed to use. The temporary lines need to be removed, not painted over.
