Loose drain cover
Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 15:37, Thu 8 December 2022
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4023470.
A drain cover in the northbound carriageway is coming loose. The cover in question is situated on the south west side of the junction where the A449 meets School Lane. The tarmac around the drain has started to crack and it periodically moves and bangs when large vehicles go over it. Its a serious potential hazard to cyclists and motorcyclists. Please can this be repaired?

The drain lid has come loose and bangs very loudly when vehicles pass over it. A small amount of tarmac appears to have been haphazardly packed into the adjacent gap but this hasn't solved the problem. Can the drain be fixed properly as a matter of urgency?
