M18 junction 3 southbound exiting motorway

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 10:02, Wed 7 December 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4020113.

I exit the M18 junction 3 every night turning onto the great Yorkshire Way going south towards the A1 this takes on average around 20 mins per night, therefore can you please explain why there are traffic lights on exiting Junction 3 North and also on the roundabout exiting Doncaster, the timings of the lights doesn't allow any time for persons to exit the Junction 3 southbound and subsequently ques build up onto the motorway from the slip round this is dangerous and an accident will happen and there will be serious consequences and you are responsible for this , a simple solution would be to alter the lights at peak times to allow cars out from the junction 3 South onto great Yorkshire way by delaying the lights for 45 seconds or so before changing, This would eliminate the risk until traffic lights can be installed at the junction so everyone has an equal chance to get of the main carriageway
