Dangerous footpath

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 11:46, Fri 2 December 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4010388.

This bridge is regularly used by pedestrians but it was designed with two very narrow walkways on either side making it very dangerous for walking across as cars often drive quite fast over here. Whilst walking over the bridge you can always expect a couple of cars to brush past and it feels like you really need to be careful of where you step for fear of tripping over with nowhere to fall other than into the path of a car. It would be far safer if the paths were combined into a larger path on one side of the bridge in effect doubling the width of the path and making it safer.
