Road Marking Arrows and Destination name do not match

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 08:14, Wed 30 November 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4004403.

Heading Eastbound at Junction 9. You exit the motorway where there are 2 lanes. around 200 meters from the lights it widens into 3 Lanes. The right-hand lane has a left arrow with the words Whitley which is correct. The middle lane however has a straight on arrow only but also states Whitley. This should either be a Straight on with a Left Painted arrow or if the arrow stays as a straight on only the words Whitely need to be removed. I have seen and been involved with a number of near misses. It is a little concerning as looking at the comments regarding this junction the whole arrangement on all approaches and on the roundabout itself are misleading and dangerous. Even more concerning is the fact that many of these were first raised many months ago and the problems still remain.
