Potential pedestrian crossing, New Road, Newhaven

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 08:55, Mon 28 November 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3998484.

Good morning, is there a possibility of putting some sort of road crossing on this part of new road? There is a high number of pedestrians who try and cross the road at this location. A lot of the pedestrians walk on to our forecourt here at Travis Perkins trying to cross the road because the pavement stops at he Veolia site. We have a lot of HGV's and forklifts that are in use around this area and along with customers vehicles can be be a dangerous area. If anything could be done or looked into that would be great, thank you for your time
