3rd Gully at the end of the fall is blocked.

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 16:05, Sat 26 November 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3995804.

3rd Gully at end of the fall is blocked\full and water is ponding here, other gullies at the kerbline also appear full and water is not draining from the carriageway and causing degradation of the edge of the road surface and base layers. Kerbs are also damaged beyond the major drainage feature nearby from overrunning and verge needs extra topsoil & seed maybe as part of a future kerb repair job.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about the blocked gully on the A47 slip road where it joins the A146. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

We are aware of the blocked gully, and it has been added to our cyclical maintenance programme for clearing. As this doesn’t cause flooding to the live lane it’s not being treated as safety critical. We will though monitor the situation and will bring forward any repairs if necessary.

Regarding the kerb damage you report, any damage on the A146 road heading into Norwich is the responsibility of Norfolk County Council (NCC). The various ways of contacting NCC can be found on the https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/ what-we-do-and-how-we-work/ have-your-say/ contact-norfolk-county-council page of their website.

Thank you again for your report.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
