Cracking visible on all roadway structural webs

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3994514.

Cracking visible on all the structural webs when viewed sitting in traffic on the A14 heading Westbound. I was situated in the fast lane and the cracking was present in the same place on each web close to the bridge support in the central reservation.

I was unable to get a photo but managed to snapshot my GPS location of the road.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about the visible cracking on all of the structural webs on the A14 at CB8 7LS.

    We're aware of the cracking from our regular bridge inspection programme and are in the process of developing a scheme which will incorporate the necessary remedial measures. Until this work is completed, we will undertake continued inspections and take any necessary action to maintain the safety of the bridge.
