Traffic light phasing

The phasing of the lights at the end of this slip road need attention at night. I regularly drive here at 10pm. The lights on the roundabout at this junction hardly let any traffic through, but the lights for traffic coming off the motorway stay green for several minutes. Often, not a single car will go through while the roundabout gets backed up with cars. They then only let 5 or 6 through before going red again.

  • Thank you for your report concerning phasing of the lights at the end of this slip road.

    We’re aware of the issue and we're investigating a faulty detector which is creating a permanent demand on the M27 EB exit slip and also why the controller is not operating in the correct mode outside of peak hours.

  • Stopped by these light this morning at 3am there was 5 cars waiting (takes awhile for that many at that time in the morning!!!) in the end 3 cars jumped the red light towards chandlers ford as the slip lights didnt change for ages and appeared stuck. Waited and funnily enough they then changed but must have taken a long time
