Fencing broken, access to M5 carriageway and backs of housing

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 13:55, Tue 22 November 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3984090.

The fencing at Woodbury Shops B62 9RH is badly damaged. Intruders and children can easily get behind this fencing and access the carriageway up the banking. Also this gap allows intruders to go along the back of properties which back onto the M5 up to 55 Woodbury Road, B62 9AW. Please can it be fixed. Thanks

Updates

  • Thank you for your report about the fencing.

We have raised this with our inspectors to be investigated at the first possible opportunity.

Our inspector will review this to determine whether remedial work is required to make the area safe for the people in the area.

Although we always try to respond to these reports in the quickest time possible, we would ask that anything of a safety critical nature be raised with our Customer Contact Centre directly. They are available 24 hours a day, on 0300 123 5000. This will ensure we process any such report as soon as it is received.

    Kind regards,

    National Highways
