Offington Roundabout, no KEEP CLEAR markings

Reported via mobile in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 15:21, Fri 18 November 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3975278.

The KEEP CLEAR markings on this roundabout have faded and drivers are being very ignorant and entering the roundabout when they can’t exit it. This causes major delays on the A24. Why can’t the road markings be refreshed? Fully appreciate that they are advisory but without them some drivers are completely ignorant that the roundabout should be kept clear. You have spent money on other road markings on the A24 but seem ti feel that these are not necessary. One would have thought that in this day and age of saving the planet from car fumes you would want to reduce wait times and pollution by keeping the traffic flowing.

Updates

  • Living on Findon Road we have constant problems either crossing or joining traffic at peak busy times. No one wants to stop for you. How long must we wait for the box to be repainted. The main 24 was done, why not the roundabout!!!!!

  • Is there a non-standard layout at this roundabout? I observed a driver this evening entering the roundabout from Findon Road in the right hand lane and turning off into Offington Lane cutting me up and nearly causing an accident in the process. Cleary Offington lane is less than 12 o'clock when approaching form Findon road so shouldn't the left hand lane be used for this manoeuvre. If not please advise and please do something to clarify the road markings and signage.
