Overflowing drainage tanks from A 3

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3970165.

The drainage tanks are overflowing dramatically and there is now a torrent of water flowing down the road Hurtmore Bottom causing damage.

  • Thank you for your report concerning severe flooding on the A3 at Hurtmore.

    We’re aware of the drainage issue in this area. We have fully cleaned out the soakaways in the area, and we are currently investigating other solutions to reduce or resolve the flooding issue. Please continue to submit further flooding reports, as information on frequency and severity is valuable to us and our consultants as we try to find a solution.

  • We are experiencing flooding in our basement. We have worked with Thames Water and they have ruled out a leak from their system. The other option is that it’s water leaking from the underground capture tanks from the A3 drainage.
