Temporary lights

Some of the traffic lights have been out of order due to an accident on this island for some time now. Temporary lights were not installed and the island flowed without issue. However this morning temporary lights have been installed and have caused absolute chaos, with the lights only allowing a small number of vehicles through at a time on the busiest routes, and causing tail backs for miles in both directions of the A5. This issue caused my normally 45 minute journey to work to take 2 hours due to the delays, which is unacceptable. Can the issue with these lights be looked at please, or can they be removed as the island flowed better without them.
