No lighting in underpass

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3945234.

There is no lighting under the A27 underpass on North Street from Emsworth station heading north. It feels very unsafe for women walking alone as you cannot see who else is under the bridge. Especially now the clocks have gone back and schoolkuds will be walking home in the dark.

Havant Council have advised that this lighting is the responsibility of National Highways. Thanks

  • Thank you for your report concerning the lack of lighting to the underpass.

    Our inspector has attended and notes that there are 2 lights attached to the soffits of the bridge deck, however they're not showing as our assets. We will arrange for our lighting team for further investigation and repairs. If they determine the assets aren't ours we will pass this onto the relevant local authority. Kind regards
