M6 Jct 11 northbound confusion

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3937496.

The amount of people that end up swerving across lanes because they don't understand all lanes are M6. Where the right hand lane separates and the other two carry on, but end up in the same place anyway.

To me the sign seems clear, but I drive a lot with work. Maybe something that's more obvious to people? A written sign that says all lanes M6?

  • I should add, I also use Google Maps, and it frequently demands you get in the right hand lane right at the last minute. Perhaps it needs to also say ignore GPS.
