Work needs doing to Cycle/Footpath at J19 M60

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 20:44, Tue 1 November 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3931240.

Improvements needed to make walkers aware of the difference between the footpath and the cycle way. Also, sarts of the footpath are covered in overgrown bushes, vegetation etc. I have contacted Bury Council but have been told that National Highways and or Manchester City Council also have responsibilities depending on boundaries. I am contacting all parties involved.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the footpaths at M60 junction 19. These are the responsibility of the local authority. However the local authority boundaries of Bury and Rochdale run through the junction. As you've provided your email address, we will contact you with more details.

    Kind regards,

    National Highways
