Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3923240.

I have already notified you of this under ref FMS 3921241 and specifically advised you not to refer this to Southern Water and you have done. They do not have the expertise and will only bodge it again with tarmac. Please remember you will be held responsible if this fault causes an accident.

  • Thank you for your report concerning the noisy Southern Water manhole cover.

    We’re aware of this issue and are working with Southern Water for them to attend and repair.

    In the meantime we are monitoring the cover though it's not a safety issue at this time.
